Byrd House Beach Club sits on the sand at Segara Village Hotel in Sanur, on the calm east-coast lagoon. A beachside deck with sun loungers, a splash pool and a lounge bar make up the adult side, with a restaurant and patisserie serving from breakfast onwards.
There is no entrance fee and no minimum spend. Families are the main audience: a kids' club comes with beach club use, with a treehouse, shallow shaded kids' pool, playground and supervised activities. Tennis courts, watersports equipment and a spa are also on site.
The music is gentle and the mood is relaxed rather than party, which suits families and anyone staying in Sanur. Sanur faces east, so come for the morning light rather than the sunset. Open daily from 6:30am to 11pm, later at weekends.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
