Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort is an established resort on the east coast of Mactan Island, set in tropical gardens that run down to a white-sand beach with thatched umbrellas and a calm, shallow lagoon. A large free-form pool sits under the trees just back from the sand.
Day visitors buy a day pass that includes a lunch buffet along with use of the pool and beach. It costs PHP 1,700 per adult on weekdays and PHP 1,900 at weekends, with children aged 5 to 11 at PHP 850 and PHP 950. Book ahead through the resort or via Klook or KKday, as passes can sell out on busy days and public holidays.
There is no club scene here; it is a quiet, green and family-friendly day, with the Amuma Spa on site if you want a massage between swims. It suits families and couples who would rather read under an umbrella than dance by the pool, and it pairs well with a morning at the nearby Mactan Shrine or an island-hopping trip.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
Want the front row? Beds by the water go first at weekends and in high season.
