Merkaba Sunset Beach Club sits above the water on the west side of Baan Tai, facing the sunset. It has a pool, a restaurant and bar overlooking the sea, beach access and a co-working corner, and its photogenic terraces are popular with creatives.
The headline event is Beach Bums, an all-day Sunday party that starts in the early afternoon with laid-back beach music and builds through a sunset session into the night with a rotating line-up of electronic DJs. Entry is THB 400, and a free shuttle runs from the Seaside parking area. On other days opening is limited, typically late afternoons into the evening on selected days, so check the club's Instagram before heading over.
It suits a music-loving crowd and groups of friends who want a sunset party with a pool rather than a big Haad Rin night. Food and wine are served throughout, and the view at golden hour is the main draw.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
