Pi Samui is a beach club and restaurant on Choeng Mon Beach, the sheltered bay on Samui's north-east tip. Its circular, thatched building opens onto the sand with near-panoramic views of the beach, and sunbeds out front are free to use during the day, along with stand-up paddleboards.
The kitchen mixes Italian, Mediterranean and Thai dishes, served from 11am to 10pm, with cocktails at the bar and live music at times. Fire shows take place on the beach on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 7.30pm, and minimum spends can apply to premium beachfront tables on busy nights. Reservations can be made online or by phone.
Choeng Mon's calm, shallow water makes this a good pick for families and couples who want an easy beach day without the Chaweng crowds, finishing with dinner and a fire show. There is no pool, so it is a beach-first experience.
