Baba Poolclub is the social hub of Sri panwa, a resort on the tip of Cape Panwa in south-east Phuket. Spread over 5,000 sq m, it centres on a 25-metre infinity-edge pool with views across the Andaman Sea, plus a pool bar, pizzeria, Josper-grilled steaks, a games room and a boutique.
Outside guests pay a minimum spend of THB 2,000 net per person, confirmed by credit card, which includes use of the pool and sunbeds from 11am to 6pm. There is no minimum spend for dining only. Book no more than a month ahead; tables are held for 15 minutes. The venue is open daily from 7am to 11pm.
Days are relaxed, with long playlists and cold cocktails. On Saturday nights from 6pm to 11pm a ladies' night brings DJs and a fire show. Cape Panwa is on the quieter south-east coast, away from the west-coast beach strips, so booking ahead and arranging transport is advisable.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
