The Kata Rocks Clubhouse sits on the headland at the northern end of Kata Beach, with a 35-metre infinity pool lined with white loungers and sunshades, looking out to Koh Pu and the Andaman Sea. Non-guests can spend the day here with the KR Extended Day Pass.
The pass costs THB 5,000 per person and includes THB 3,500 credit for food, drinks or spa treatments, access to the infinity pool and lounge, the fitness centre and changing facilities, with 10% off further dining. Pool access runs from 11am to 5pm, and the wider experience continues until close. Children under 12 go free on the pass but must be supervised; there is no lifeguard. Book and pay in advance.
The Clubhouse menu is modern Mediterranean with Australasian and Thai touches, plus fresh seafood. Evenings are calm rather than clubby, with a resident musician and some of the best sunset views on this coast.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
