Pulau Sepa is a small private-resort island in the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu), about 90 minutes from Jakarta by speedboat. A renovation added a sea-view infinity pool with sunbeds and the Sunset Beach Club, set among white sand, shallow turquoise water and coral reefs.
You do not have to stay overnight. One-day trips include the return speedboat from Baywalk Mall in Pluit plus pool and beach club access, from about Rp 650,000 per person on weekdays (Rp 750,000 at weekends); a full-board day package adds breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Water sports such as jet skis, banana boats, snorkelling and paddleboarding are extra.
The shallow beach makes it good for families, and couples come for the sunset cocktails. There is live music at weekends. Boats leave early in the morning, so book ahead and arrive at the pier in good time.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
