Amavi's Beach Club belongs to Royal Avila Boutique Resort, a white, Santorini-style hotel on the cliffs at Malimbu, just north of Senggigi. It is open to non-guests. The setting is a timber deck and shallow infinity pool with in-water loungers, facing west towards the Gili Islands and Bali's Mount Agung.
There is a beach bar and a pool bar for drinks and snacks, and a DJ plays relaxed sets as the light goes. Head up around 4pm to claim a sunbed before sunset, which is the reason most people come. The space is compact, with a handful of sunbeds and sofas, so it feels more intimate than a big Bali-style club.
It is best for couples and small groups after a sunset drink rather than a full party day. The famous Malimbu sunset viewpoint is a few minutes along the coast road, and Senggigi's centre is around 20 minutes' drive south.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
