Beach Club Lombok faces the calm water of Senggigi on Lombok's west coast. Under shade sails, a long row of sun loungers looks straight out to sea, with day beds and cabanas around an infinity pool and a beachfront shower for after a swim.
Walk-ins buy a day pass covering 10am to 6pm, and the charge is fully redeemable on food and drink. Hotel guests get access as part of their stay. The beach club menu runs from 11am to 5pm, with burgers, salads and grills, before the Ocean Beach restaurant takes over for dinner from 5pm. Happy hour is pay one, get one on all drinks from 4pm to 6pm every day, which neatly covers sunset.
It suits couples, solo travellers and anyone wanting a comfortable, unhurried day by the sea rather than a party. Senggigi is around 30 minutes' drive from Mataram's harbour and an hour or so from the airport.
Bed prices and opening times move with the seasons, so confirm with the club before you set off.
